Top 5 Film & Television Apps on Android in Turkey: Q4 2022

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the film and television app market on Android in Turkey showcased some interesting trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, the top five apps in this category were Disney+, TRT İzle: Dizi, Film, Canlı TV, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Exxen.

Disney+ experienced notable fluctuations in its weekly downloads, starting the quarter with around 100K and peaking at approximately 292K in mid-December. The app's weekly revenue saw a steady increase, reaching about $90K in mid-December. Additionally, the weekly active users for Disney+ surged from around 339K at the start of the quarter to over 557K by mid-December.

TRT İzle: Dizi, Film, Canlı TV showed a significant increase in weekly downloads, with numbers rising from approximately 26K at the beginning of October to a peak of around 152K in mid-December. Weekly active users also saw a considerable rise, starting at about 144K and peaking at over 325K in mid-December.

Amazon Prime Video had stable download numbers throughout the quarter, with a peak of approximately 77K in mid-October. The app maintained a consistent number of weekly active users, fluctuating around 80K to 90K during the quarter.

Netflix demonstrated steady weekly download numbers, starting at around 40K and reaching a peak of approximately 76K in early December. The weekly active users for Netflix remained robust, consistently staying above 1.9M, with a peak of over 2.1M in late November.

Exxen showed varied performance in weekly downloads, peaking at around 59K in late October. The app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, ranging from approximately 359K to 449K throughout the quarter.
